N95 masks are regulated by the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). This is a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which makes N95 respirators CDC approved.
A tight seal for sure safety
The N95 respiratory protective device is designed to form an airtight seal around the edges of your nose and mouth. This close facial fit traps aerosols and droplets in the fibers so that harmful particles cannot enter the nose or mouth of the wearer.
When worn correctly, no outside air can enter or exit around the sides of the mask. All airborne particles must pass through all 5 layers of the electrostatically charged microfiber mask, which is why it can filter particles out with at least 95% efficiency.
Designed for all-day comfort
Although the N95 mask fits tightly to your face, the respirator is still effortlessly comfortable thanks to its lightweight material, cushioning nose bridge foam, and adjustable nose clip for a secure and custom fit.
3M N95 face masks are thoughtfully designed to be compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and heating protection. The two-strap style distributes the pressure of the mask on your head, and helps to prevent your mask from moving out of place during your work day.
Stay safe with your N95 respirator
All 3M N95 face masks are FDA-approved as single-use disposable devices. If your mask becomes damaged or soil, or breathing becomes difficult, please properly discard it and replace it with a new N95 mask.
Each mask is latex-free and has a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture. The polypropylene material is considered safe for humans and is widely used in the food and beverage industry. If you have any medical conditions that make breathing difficult, however, you should check with your healthcare provider to see if N95 masks are right for you.
